Each Through hole addressable 5mm RGB pixel LED Lamp P9823 ws2811 features an integrated WS2811 driver that operates at 5 V and is controlled through a high-speed one-wire digital interface that allows multiple LEDs to be connected together to form a chain of addressable RGB LEDs or form large displays. 

3. Each LED looks just like a shorter version of the classic through-hole 5mm RGB LED with 4 legs, but instead of just red/green/blue with chip inside that can control the LED with high speed PWM for 24-bit color.Equates to 16.7 million colors.
